The Critical I/O XGE4420-XMC-FF offers high performance which is absolutely essential for data intensive real time systems, yet still maintains 100% interoperability & compatibility with standard Ethernet infrastructures. The XGE product family differentiates itself from “non-offloaded” standard Ethernet by delivering high sustained throughput, maximum host processor offload, low latency, and rock solid deterministic behavior. The XGE4420-XMC-FF is a dual port 40Gb Ethernet TOE XMC with 8 lane PCI-Express host interface. This XGE interface offloads TCP/IP protocols to dedicated silicon protocol engines with each channel capable of 10,000 MBytes/sec (10 GBytes) sustained bidirectional throughput*.
