FLEX-IO Development Platforms

Critical I/O’s FPGA Sensor Interface development boards allow users to easily develop customized sensor to Ethernet designs that can incorporate user-defined FPGA based front end computing. Users can incorporate data sorting, reduction, and filtering operations directly into the Virtex 4 FPGAs, while leveraging the built-in sensor and network interfaces, as well as the large on-board data storage SDRAM.

The development boards are available in CMC or CXMC format, and feature large Virtex 4 FPGAs, user digital I/O through the CMC/XMC connectors, network I/O through 1G or 10G, optical or copper Ethernet interfaces, and large DDR or DDR2 SDRAM data buffers. Auxiliary support functions include on-board flash for FPGA configuration, software, and parameter/coefficient storage, all necessary power supplies, and built-in-test circuitry that continuously monitors voltages, currents and temperature.

The boards fully support the standard Xilinx FPGA development tool suite including Xilinx ISE, EDK, and SDK.
